Hand-Carved Bovine Bone and Un-Dyed Batik Hairpipe Beads with 2mm hole. The design has been applied. However, they have not been dyed. You can either leave them as they are or dye them yourself!
Batik Bone beads are hand-carved from usually bovine bone in African countries. They are dyed through the batik method to give them color. The Batik method consists of 'painting' melted candle wax onto a carved bead surface then dipping the beads into a dye, then removing the wax. Some beads may be dyed then etched, showing the white beneath the dye. Most beads are black and white, or shades of brown.
